Spam on my site plz help

    i hv created dis forum http://kigzy.com and http://netsolution.kigzy.com ........

    per day m getting lots of spam post bout drugs and sum porn site on my forum but according to anylistic a/c i m not reciving any users so hw culd spams are posted in the forum n hw it can be stopped.........

    can anyone help me plz

    1. Upgrade your phpBB to the latest version
    2. Search for anti-spam mods, as well as those that improve your captcha compexity

    Edit: 3. Quite a wrong category for this thread.

    Try installing one of the "anti-spam" mods. A good place to find something like that would be on the phpbb forum. Look under the "Section 3: Other anti-spam MODs".

    Hey buddy,
    Dont give complete rights for the newly registered users.
    1)Just implement small rule : NO USER CAN POST LINKS OR CAN KEEP SIGNATURE WITH BELOW 100 POSTS COUNT.

    2)Use captcha like (Grapes are S_U_R)
    No software can break such captcha...

    Hope your forum will be 100% clean and green like DP :D

    what I did once is make all the forums that get spammed to "hidden" unless user is logged in

    First things first, pay for vbulletin.

    Like everyone above said, get some anti spam mods. Not sure about phpbb but for vbulletin I have a question that only a human can answer and I used to have a mod that timed how long it took for the person to register, bots do it it faster than humanly possible.

    Assign some members of your forum to become moderators and also add captcha in registration and before posting in the forum.

    No user can posts links or can keep signature below 100 posts I guess is too much for a forum for you to use a signature even DP didnt implement it ...I think 30-50 posts is much better...

    I've had phpBB forum boards before, they have a tendency to get spammed. This can likely be attributed to lack of spam protection, I do think they are plug ins to better protect against spam bots since spamming is for the most part done by bots.
