We sacked our SEO company last year bacause they lied about the work they had done (bought their service off DP!) and now we are finding sites appearing with private proxy accounts that are spammy sites and have thousands of links pointing to one of our homepages, we have emailed them so how can be get these links de-indexed on google? Am I best asking google to reconcile the site?? As I need the links removed!
Well, I believe the SEO company has already done the harm to you by getting these spammy links. Such spammy links are usually high in number, so it won't be easy to remove all of them, because they are spam and not monitored by real webmasters. Sooner or later it stands a risk to get penalized by Google. In fact, I would also like to know the real solution to this problem... if anyone comes up on this thread. Looking forward to some good suggestions by experienced in this field.
