spam karma..?

alright, i just uploaded it, activated went to manage and there's bloody 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 options

Then I made a random comment as seen here http://www.waragainstemos.com/2007/07/06/emo-girls-are-ugly/#comment-174

and it got "through"

what do i need to edit.

I just want it simple, where spam links and crap get deleted..

also what's with all this karma level crap?

 

Use Akismet. You just need a wordpress.com API key to activate it

 

why do you prefer akismet?

 

It does its job effectively, and I see no reason to switch.......

 

hmm, i just installed it, akismet, and posted a series of comments like

"aksjdkahjkdsahjkas this site is gay"

"gay porn lol funny"

"lol lol lol lol"

it did not catch them?

 

That's because you are posting them and it's your site.

 

I logged out and tried it.

 

Put all the settings on moderate and the link counter setting on strong or supastrong.
I also disable snowball effect and post age and activity. Works great.
There is also a weird bug when SK2 "spanks" a comment manually, so you better browse through blocked comments from time to time.
