Spam = Illegal ?

Is spaming a website or forum with PM or post illegal?

 

I think so, i remember forum i was with it was illegal to spam it and you can report them.

 

There have been reports of dirty spammers being arrested and prosecuted. It is definitely illegal.

 

It is unsolicited spam.

I think there may be some bill hidden away on this - but I bet no one truly enforces it. Just like software pirating. It's bad - but hey, who's going to stop you?

 

According to this, spam itself is not illegal. Apparently there where two bills in USA but both died before being passed.

So many spammers are available in DP also. I experienced one person and lost $5 unnecessarly.

 

Especially email spam, that's a big no-no.
