    hi,
Do you also get a lot of the new forum spam from non-exsting yahoo mail adresses?

How do you and how can we overrun this new method. its not any good idea to ban *@yahoo.com i know that. but i get one or two a day.

Normaly get an error message from my host that the message not got to the new member.

Should Yahoo do something about this fake signups or ?

    this is my latest.

There are two things you can do to stop this.
    1) Put up a good captcha for your registration.
    2) Use e-mail account activation. If a real person signs up with a fake email, this will stop them from being able to activate the account.

    I recommend implementing both.

I don't know about the options on phpbb, but I know in vBulletin I had to use more advanced captcha settings than the default as the spam bots found a way to read the basic captcha. Make it as complex as possible.
