I recently opened a new email account, which I use only to open new accounts on a bunch of social-bookmarking websites. Ever since I opened these new accounts on social-bookmarking websites, I've been receiving a lot of spam emails. You know, the usual stuff: winning lotteries, cheap viagra, design clothes for a reasonable price, etc. Now, I am very cautious in giving my email address to anyone or any website. Some might even say that I'm a bit paranoid, but because of this healthy dose of paranoia I have received less than a dozen spam emails ever on my old email accounts! I kid you not! So, I have reason to believe that I've been caught in a trap of the shady privay policy of one of those social-bookmarking websites or perhaps they've hired a few dodgy employees that sell email addresses to spammers. Has anyone else met the same recently after signing up with social-bookmarking websites?
