Spam E-Mails

Well, I know they are not from Shawn himself but the e-mail I have for my DP acc has recevied quite a few e-mails gone into the junk forum, all lottery winners...and this is the only site which I used the e-mail on, is it possible people can get our signed up e-mails even if it`s not listed anywheres

 

It's called a bot... If it's listed somewhere, someone is going to get it.. That someone is just script that harvests emails at random....

Best thing you can do is get an ISP that has a decent spam filtering system IMO.

 

So when you register at a forum does it get listed, does this forum prevent that?

 

I believe you have the option to specify if your email is public or not in your control panel.. I think by default it is not public..

I was assuming you were referring to an email posted in public thread.. In that case, it is going to get sucked up by a bot.

 

I mean from registering, thanks for info though, mods can close thread.
