This is interesting I seen a Book marking site say the following , ' New Registrations Offline Due to a recent attack on our servers, we are not accepting any new members right now. There are several spam databases about. I use two on my own forum, which stop a lot of spam posters even making it past the registration process. One logs user name, ip and email address and when reported to the main database, anyone trying to register with any one of the three, wont make it past the registration process. Add to that Askimet and you have a fair bit of protection. Recently I have seen people marked as spam by Askimet just by having links in their signatures. A fair bit of the above could well be true. Even my own forum url got caught by Askimet once when links to pages were being posted, I wont say what I had been doing else where on the net to get flagged
