    I remember when the government build a highway in southern Sweden over an 8000(think it was 8000) year old village, which was discovered to be the oldest village in Sweden. Didn't stop the government from drawing the line another way.

    I don't really care for the notion that since something happened some place at some time in the past, it's sacred ground. Remembering a place is great; but sidestepping some sort of development cuz jim joe bob died there 1000 years ago doesn't strike me as wise.
