Well I was going to post this in Joey's crazy link thread but it was way off topic so I decided to create another thread, surprise, surprise These guys got to talking about how we never landed on the moon so here we go again, not only have we (The USA) been to the moon (Humans) but we have been to Mars (robots) and have a space shuttle, we have had Hubble taking pictures of the far reaches of the universe and many other space projects including Space Station. http://www.nasa.gov/centers/kennedy/about/index.html Learn more in the above link and let us know your thoughts
Okay, we did land on the moon, we've send robot's to mars, I even read somewhere than russia went to venus a long time ago.(http://www.russianspaceweb.com/spacecraft_planetary_venus.html) So why don't all counties unite and bring humanity into the next level. We are all fighting over oil and that doens't bring us closer to the stars. We will probably won't make it to see the first people (humans) get out of this solar system.. But in the meantime when you are bored, take a trip over moscow.. http://www.superidee.be/dynframe.asp?page=/shop/shop/details.asp&SessionLanguage=EN&productID=22
we've landed landers on venus, but if i remember right, they disintegrated a few hours after landing cuz of the acidic atmosphere.
AC, did you leave a word out in the title of this thread? Shouldn't it read, "Space Travel is real expensive"?
Space travel will some day become reality. Thousands of stars, actors, etc have signed up to be on the first visit to Space, but then these can afford the extornante (spelling?) rates that are been mentioned. I think it's Richard Branson, of Virgin that has bought rights for the first trip into space.
Did anyone saw BBC Space Episodes ? with Sam Neil ? If not try to buy the DVD and watch. There are lot more entertaining things to learn about space. Best Regards, Tuning
