Space in anchor text - a small question

Hi guys,

Just a quick question.

Does it matter (from SEO point of view) if you add a space between the url contained in a href and the anchor text?

To be more explicit : if I have

<a href="http://www.mydomain.com"> My Domain</a>

Code (markup):

will the space before the anchor text affect the way Google sees that anchor?
