I am in need of some royalty free music. The problem, some websites want a small fortune for a single 3 minute song. The music does not need to have lyrics, just instruments. Mostly what I am looking for is a techno, dance mix style of music. The videos are for a computer game called team fortress. The video will be of actual in game footage. Then edited, sliced, the in game sounds muted and the music put into the video. Here is an example of a video I made, and the type of music I am looking for - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46iWXi4UER8 But I can not reuse the same song on every video. I tried looking through google, but most of the sites I found want anywhere from $25 - $60 US dollars for a single 2 - 3 minute song. I dont mind paying a small fee, but at those prices I could run up a $300 - $500 music bill real quick. And then, if I use the music for commercial reasons, some music sites want a contract and more money. So how about it, does anyone know where I can find some free or low cost royalty free music?
I copied this from the Revver site FAQ for you. It lists some great sources for royalty free music. I use some of the sites for my own videos and you should be able to find what you want on at least one of the following sites... partnersinrhyme.com brainybetty.com incompetech.com jamendo.com openmusicarchive.org opsound.org ccmixter.org thefreesoundproject eStockmusic.com The following sites offer music that can be used royalty-free after a certain base fee is paid: stockmusic.net royaltyfreemusic.com shockwave-sound.com smartsound.com opuzz.com "Unfortunately, we cannot recommend one of these sources over another but a quick search online for "royalty-free music" should provide you with a lot of options. If you use GarageBand, FruityLoops or LogicExpress software, all three applications come with royalty-free pre-recorded instrumentals in loops." Hope that helps. Good luck on your project!!
There are many sites offering free resources like music and other stuffs, just search in Google. If you're interested in making it yourself, I recommend FL Studio, which is formerly called Fruity Loops.
