I've recently launched my affiliates website in the world of online bingo, when i say recent, i speak in terms of months and as many as 4. I receive 6 visitors a day at most and these uniques are more than likely accidental.
I know i'm failing, but i'm not going to give up. At the moment i have an independent SEO specialist carrying out optimisation of pages, problem here is that my keywords must be terrible, though when i plucked them from google, their search point was high, and advertisement opponents were low. This i'm told over and over will take time and up to a year before targeted visitors can reach the site, i feel my patience can't push that far.
Other areas now, is that in the last week, i've started writing some articles and publishing them. This can be effective, again i'm told can take months and months before links are found.
I'm trying to pick up as much as i can on my through this journey, with a positive outcome at the end. Therefore can anyone advise on anything else i can be doing, 6 visitors a day in a world of infinate sources, tell me, i'm next to invisible.

Social bookmarking sites, tend not to like the online bingo niche for some reason, so that field of resources has collapsed.

What you have to realize is that you're in ultra-competitive market here and on-page keyword optimization will add little to no value for you. It will help a little however you need to understand who your competition is.

For example when I type in your page into Google Keyword tool and picked one of your keyword phrases: free bingo games I get about 15 Million Results. Out of those for this exact phrase you're competing with another 500,000 or so pages.

Just look at the two top bingo pages bingo.com and heybingo.com. First one bingo.com has been around for about 14 years and has about 160,000 backlinks! Second one heybingo.com has been around for about 5 years and has about 2,300 backlinks to it.

So in order for you to be anywhere near the top of Google's first page you'll need to have a MASSIVE amount of back-links to your page from high PR sites. For this particular phrase I'd say you'll probably need about 5,000 or so high PR backlinks to be in position 2 on that first page.

And no SEO expert can really help you do that in any short amount of time. This is something that's done over a long period of time gradually.

If you want to drive any decent amount of traffic to your site anytime soon, I would properly SEO optimize it and probably revamp your site (no offense but it's a bit ugly and has a terrible color scheme compared to most bingo sites) and get into Adwords Pay Per Click advertising, while gradually building your backlinks. Just my humble opinion...
