I was messing around, moving images through file zilla and something very strange has happened. All my plugs have gone, no file exists to support them and the other thing, no images are now present at all. Ok, i've managed to do some tweaking, and installed the most up to date version of wordperss, V 3.0 which has solved my plugin problem by reconfiguring the missing files. The other problem about the images remains, so i have no images coming up on the site, for some reason the directory root is not being seen. Thanks for any help The best problems are the ones we solve ourselves.
