When I search Google with the term: who.is appears this message: Sorry, no information is available for the URL who.is If the URL is valid, try visiting that web page by clicking on the following link: who.is Find web pages from the site who.is Find web pages that contain the term "who.is" Why?
I'm guessing that who.is requesting google to do that. Since you can see that who.is is on the first page for the term "whois" http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...a:en-US:official&hs=GPh&q=whois&aq=f&oq=&aqi=
When i checked my website instead of who.is I got the same error. But my site is fully indexed by google. I have to know why this messege appears on my site and who.is Anyone have any idea.
When I did a search for who.is, I got the same message. So I tried with my website url and then who.is and my site came up immediately. Well, that's not really true. What came up as number 1 was an ezine article. No 2 was hostgator (where the site is hosted), with the site name listed, and 3rd was cqcounter/who.is., also with the site name listed.
I get the same message, it does seem strange. A search for juice.me gives Results 1 - 10 of about 17,400,000 for juice.me. (0.16 seconds) with www.juice.me as the number 1 result. Why doing a search for who.is gives zero results has got me a bit stumped, as there are plenty of sites around with the words "who" and "is" in them. Maybe Google are making some changes to the way they handle example.tld searches and are rolling it out slowly! dunno. Cheers James
