when i talked to an affiliate manager about my application, he said he wanted three referrences. what does it mean? what kind of information do i have to provide?
i didn't ask him because it may sound unprofessional.

It means he wants you to give him 3 contacts (most likely from other networks that you are working with). Three may be a bit excessive because not all people work with over 3 networks, but whatever floats their boat.

When I ask for a reference, I'm asking for an affiliate manager from another network to vouch for the traffic quality that one usually claims to be bringing in.
