sorry, another noob about google search

    you know these drop down results, and the number next to them, what does the number represent. searches per day? month? year?

    this is what im talking about...

    Those are the number of results returned when you do a search.

    is there any way to find out how many searches for a word are done every month or day?

    Now that would be really nice wouldn't it? No unfortunately I don't know of anything like that. You can check some stats about clicked keywords in your account at google sitemaps though.

    yup, you can find search volume data using google trends:

    http://google.com/trends

    on the right hand corner you can choose the frequency month, year, region, etc.

    but not all search words will appear though, there's a minimum limit on the search volume before it displays.
