There is no estimate to come back for them. There is no predictions.

Whatever happens, I won't support both. It's actually a big lost to all of use. We have been getting lots of benefits through the use of Internet and certain websites, and if they will censor it, many will thrive for information globally and I bet that people, especially the online community will not like it.

I think the pieces of legislation are being so heavily criticized, I think many politicians are afraid to back them. Especially if the mainstream crowd ever gets a full grasp of what the pieces of legislation will do.

The battle was won against SOPA, but we have not yet won the war. Vigilance is necessary. There will be another law like these coming up for future votes.

The problem here is you never know when they might put it a to vote "quietly" once everything has died down. They have been known to pass legislation without the public knowing until it was too late. Our great system at work. :/

True, the lobbies behind the bills are too powerful to give up. Also, the problem will become that the lawmakers will be able to craft the bills with such language they could easily bypass public scrutiny easier next time. Diligence and vigilance is definitely the key.

I am glad that SOPA didnt pass. I agree that we won one battle but war is just began. But as long there are hackers any kind of law like SOPA or similar wont pass or better to say wont work in practice. We need freedom on internet because it is largest people connecting media or tool or call it whatever you like.

Yes, it's definitely important to continue watching out for this type of legislation. Congress could bury the text of SOPA or PIPA inside another bill which has better support, something like expanding veteran's benefits or an anti-defamation bill.

If it ever came back in anything like its current form, though, it'll probably get shot down again. The companies that are against this bill are some of the same ones that should be supporting tighter copyright legislation - video game developers, TV networks, etc. It's not just websites that stand to lose from this.

100% they're coming back, PIPA was already stopped under a different in 2010. Also just cause the bills are shelved currently, that doesn't mean anyway, the patriotic act was shelved too before it became law :(

    No, it's not over

These people are very interested to pass laws to control the media, and they will pay anything so they can keep earning by billions, but they dont know what they're doing

I think a great deal of the problem was not necessarily the idea of stopping online piracy, which on the surface sounds like a good thing to most people, but in the way the acts were worded. I'm always skeptical that there are hidden agendas when it comes to the govt.

Lamar Smith promised to remake SOPA bill. He wants to get more agreement and solution about his doc. However, I still don't know how to agree with Smith and his act at all...
