So I was wondering today. After watching the price of the Vaio FW for the past month, I was wondering - does Black Friday also affect online stores like SonyStyle.com? I mean, if that was the case, the price may go down a few bucks that day alone, which would be alot of help to me (financially, of course). So should I hold off and see if the price does go down on Black Friday? Has it happened in past years? Thanks for any input.
In the fast changing technology world, the popular quote is "Early bird catches the pricey worm." Wait for some time for the price to drop but Sony will be slow in reducing the price of its products, going by the past experience.
Yeah, I know the price will eventually drop, I'm just wondering if SonyStyle.com, like all the regular stores on Black Friday, will have a one day sale on a bunch of products.
Some online stores do run sales for Black Fridays. There's also Cyber Monday - the Monday after Black Friday - that's known for being the big online sale day before the holidays.
Ah, that's interesting, never heard of Cyber Monday. Wish there was a way to find out if Sony will be participating this in a few weeks...
Is what you want only sold directly through them? If not, it's in the hands of the retailers more than the manufacturers.
Well, yes and no. I can always go buy a Sony Vaio FW laptop in best Buy or something, but they only offer customized ones through their site. They're always having random sales here and there for specific parts of the computer.
