    Hey guys :D

I'm looking for a decent digital camera to take pictures of everyday things. I took a look at some cameras at best buy and staples and my favorite was some of the Cybershots and some Nikons. I like the design of the Sony a lot, and the menu system, thats why I like it a little more than the Nikon, but I heard the optics on the Nikon are a bit better. What would you guys suggest for an all around camera?

Oh yeah, and I'm looking for something that's a bit compact, and around $200

    Thanks guys!

I currently have a Nikon Coolpix S200 and I absolutely love it. I use a 2 gigabyte memory card with it along with my rechargeable battery. I get amazing battery life, huge amounts of space for all the picture/video I need, and many options to maximize my picture's quality.

I don't know how expensive it is these days but it is definitely a great camera.

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC - S700 (7.2 mega pixels) It's good and the pictures are pretty damn "sharp". I also like the large screen. The video feature is HORRIBLE. I'd get something that at least has a nice video feature. you'll want to use it if you don't have a camcorder already.

The Cybershots that they made prior to this model had a decent video feature. Sony changed something that made it shittier.

I've heard tons of good things about canon. I haven't been able to look at one and try it out though, so I would have to order it online... and ordering a camera online before being able to see what its like kind of bothers me.

For the price the Sony Cybershot is a great choice. I owned one, until it was stolen, but now I have a Kodak Easyshare. The Easyshare is OK, but I liked the Cybershot much better and am now wishing I had just gotten another one of those

It's not a big deal which one better Sony, Canon or Nikon.
The most important thing is HOW you use them to create a nice pictures. That's all.
