There's zero chance that my bounce rate is accurate at 70%. No chance. Something on my website isn't working properly and then occasionally it will work right and my bounce rate will drop below 30%, page views skyrocket, and I know this has nothing to do with the google analytics code being used multiple times because my page views are legit as my advertising income also increases... So what on earth could be causing this issue??? I've looked over my my google analytics and see nothing jumping out at me in terms of the site not loading for certain browsers, devices, and what not... all seem very consistent. I've attached what my bounce rate looks like in terms of a properly working website and then returning to the 70% bounce rate in attached image
Is your website getting an increasing amount of "bot" visits? What about visits from weird domains like free-social-buttons.com or similar? If so, these bots are sending in 1-page hits which is making the bounce rate climb. There are links out there if you search Google to blog them, they're annoying as all heck!
Nope it's not bots... It has to be legit traffic as my page views per visit sky rocket... And to back that up, the advertising income also increases for the days the bounce rate drops.
Could be your web hosting provider (slow-loading pages from time to time). Are you on a shared hosting? Not that it really matters, but what is your bounce rate on http://www.alexa.com/ ?
