Hello everybody, I have again this strange problem where I already have decent rankings for a competitve keyword ("option trading" #9) but get only scant traffic (about 20 from google). For this keyword the overture tool shows me almost 100,000 searches every month. And that on Yahoo! Google should have much more than this. But only 20 visitors??? And this 20 comes from different keyword phrases! Do I understand something wrong or what? I mean, ok lets subtract a generous 50% from this traffic because of webmaster queries. You are in direct competition with the title and snippets for everything else on that results page - and I don't think that something that straight off tells you it's a link to get an e-book is very attractive, Plus, if people are clicking on the other links, and finding what they want, they just won't go back to the search page to find another link.
both of your arguments are ok, but please consider again the volume of the traffic. It cannot be that bad with my CTR!
The overture tool shows you results for the keyword option trading..............You are ranking for the keyword"option trading..... HUGE DIFFERENCE my guess is you typed "option trading" into the overture tool....and the tool (By Defualt) discarded the ""'s I would add a few hard core inbound links,,,,wait a few weeks/months and yuo should see a huge jump. option trading or option tradings you mean? it's usual that people dont type the plural of this word, if I have understood you correctly.
