Yes subscriber numbers are significantly down today. Happens a lot, almost once a week at this stage. Don't worry about it. It will be resolved shortly.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that was spooked this morning. Normally I have a pretty stable line upwards but this is the first big drop for me in months.

    Thanks Staale for reassuring me;)

Yeah, I "lost" about 50% of my subscribers. I guess FeedBurner tends to forget about stuff. ;)

Its because FeedBurner is not showing the Google subscribers (reader, igoogle, etc) - am sure this is temporary.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Check you stats today and yesterday and you will see Google isn't counted. Should be back to normal tomorrow.

maybe because most of your subscribers are subscribe via email and they don't read them..that's why the stats drop down

This had happen quite frequently.. but EverythingEverywhere does raise a good point with google owning feedburner. Anybody knows what exactly happened?

This is not true, I have blogs with more than 50% e-mail subscribers and my count didn't drop 50%.
