I saw a lot of webmaster trying their best to submit the site to DMOZ, just wonder is this something worth to try? Any comments? Thanks
Yes, press the suggest a site button and fill in the form. It may take from a few days to a few years for a review which could result in a listing. There is nothing more that you can do to promote your site at DMOZ. There is no trick to get listed or to get listed quicker. Remember we do not undertake to review the site in good time and even sites that comply with our Terms and conditions are not guaranteed a place.
Most definitely if you are looking forward to add "one more*" backlink to your list of backlinks. * 1 backlink - nothing more
DMOZ is a dinousour, these days its a good thing, so yeah, waste 5 minutes of your life to submit your site, but nomore, let fate decides the rest. may internet god be with you.
If you are submitting to free directories in general, then yes, it's certainly worth a try. If you are not bothering with other directories, then no it's likely not. However, in some categories, it's almost worth it NOT to try, but as for which ones no one really knows... so flip a coin!
Sure its worth it. A link on dmoz is regarded as quality by google, and there are so many sites crawling dmoz every day - automatic backlinks.
