Something wierd while using the "site:" operator...

    While using the "site:" operator in Google for my website, the homepage appears in 4th place while above it are a few of the articles posted on the website..

    Does anyone know what could have caused this or is this just something that will brush over in a couple of days?

    I wouldn't worry about it, will probably go back to normal in a few days. It happens sometimes with a few of my sites, I think it has to do with indexing or perhapes a data center update of some sort.

    Is it a newly lunched site?
    I had the same problem for one of by blog and it got repaired in a few days.
