Something Up With Hostgator?

I have 3 different accounts with hostgator, under which I have add-on domains. I have 3 accounts so if there is a problem with one, not ALL my domains are affected.

For example, yesterday in one of my accounts, trojans were loaded onto the index pages of all domains and subdomains! Fortunately, I found this fairly quickly. I overwrote the pages with my own copies and removed them, proving that this was done on their server.

In another account, my index.html page was replaced with an index.htm page.

In the 3rd account, my redirect (http://mydomain redirected to http://www.mydomain) caused a 500 error in ONLY 1 subdomain.

In all accounts, I now see a temporary blue screen when I log into the CPANEL, and this redirects to the regular CPANEL page.

And I was informed that my account was overdue and my CC was out of date (even though I updated it). So I paid immediately.

    This ALL happened yesterday.

What is going on? Did they get hacked? Did they get bought? Am I the only one with these types of problems as of late?

Based on lack of response, someone must have hacked in my account. One of my accounts had a slightly less than secure password - that's the one that got nailed with trojans.

Lesson learned. Use the big ugly obnoxious secure passwords from now on.
