Something strange!

I just logged into my adsense account and for one of my channels I see this

    Channel x
    Pageviews 36
    Clicks 8
    CTR 22.2%
    ECPM USD 0.00
    Income USD 0.00

So strange to have a 0.00 ECPM and 0.00 income, when there are views and clicks.

    What is going on?

Public Service Ads the most likely explanation. Or illegal clicks. ;)

I thought Public Service Ads would not be shown as click in Adsense.

What do you mean with illegal clicks?

Yeah - if they click a service ad it still shows as a click as far as I know.

By illegal I mean your own clicks. If you click the page and google spots its your IP you won't get the credit. You should never do it as I'm sure you don't - its more likely the public service thing.

No I didn't click on my own ads. So it must have been a Public Service Ad.

    Thanks for the info

If you have access to your logs, check the IP's coming into your site and see if you are getting traffic from China or Russia. If so, email G about it.

My AS account was "disabled" around the same time that I was getting clicks worth $0 from Chinese IP's. Not sure if that was the cause of the termination, but it might have been.

I have seen this a few times too. I agree with the general assumption so far...PSA's.

PSAs do not show up as clicks. There have been multiple reports of wonky reporting from AdSense today. Check again later, things may be back to normal.

There are two factors I knew regarding this:

    1. The report is not yet updated.
    2. Your adsense is receiving invalid clicks.

click on Public service I think is not recorded on the report.

I think if report is not updated then how it has collected data about clicks and impressions?

The collecting of the data and the reporting of the data are two separate things. I'm sure Google makes damn sure that the data they collect is recorded very accurately. Reporting the data to publishers is not that critical, so it can be a little slow and a little inaccurate.

Now it is getting even more strange.

All my channels now this problem! Views and clicks, but 0 ECPM and 0 income!

Do I need to contact Google or just delete my channels??

If this is across the board as you say, contact Google in a professional and non-confrontational manner with your concerns.

Could it be that someone with clicked on multiple ads to open them in a new page and that is why google filters them out aka acts strange?
