something strange in my new check..

    new cheque arrived ..
    but , i used to read in old check this :

    Payable at CITYBANK.NA.
    THROUGH CITYBANK (NEW YORK STATE)

    now only i see :
    Payable at CITYBANK.NA.

    and the man in my local bank ask me which citibank to clear it??
    is it still from NEW YORK ? or what?

    Same changes on my check but there is no problem on my local bank.

    because my local bank ask me the name of the the branch?

    Why not you try going to your local bank and ask. I'm sure they will be able to give you a rather satisfactory answer.

    Just wondering if you are with a trustworthy bank or is it set up by kids? lol

    A bank should know where a check is from by the identification codes on the check and from maybe other things on it aswell.
