Hi, fellow link builders I'm building links, and was surprised to see how DIGG deal with it. The URL gets the title "_title_name", the linking on the site is not cloacked. My profile and blogs on DIGG even shows pagerank. And a very high one!(PR8) This seems to like heaven for link building. I posted a blog on my profile, and I didn't take more than 5 minutes before it was in Google. And it was on 4th place!! So my million dollar question is..do you know of any social bookmarking sites similar to DIGG, that uses direct linking, doesn't cloack links or use "no follow", but similar to DIGG, gives you pagerank and all you could ever dream of! Cheers, D
Check out this social bookmarking list. You can sort by PR to find the better ones. Hope it helps. BTW, many of those "cloaked" links still help SEO since they are 301 permanent redirects.
I wrote a blog on this topic directly....... check it out: The Best Social Media Sites for Link Building Hope that helps your endeavors...
Thanks a lot for the replies! There definately are a lot of SB sites, but a lot of them don't use "DoFollow". So basically what I'm saying is that I'm looking for high PR SB sites, that allows DoFollows, similar to Digg Thanks again for all your replies
A link on it's own must stand out. A link amongst 10'000 others won't. .....here endeth the lesson of how to crack the web promotion game BTW, social sites aren't the best way of doing this.
That's what seems interesting with DIGG. Somehow each link gets it's own site. What do you think about that? I agree with your point on being amongst another 10K
If we take a look at what Digg is, we then see what it's not good for. Digg is a 'Social place' - somewhere for social activity, it's NOT for business, yet it attracts business activity and therefore shows the incredible desperation and lack of targeted marketing knowledge of many on the web. In other words many just don't know what the hell they are doing when promoting their sites. It might be interesting to see if a business site got invented and see how many add their links to it. I'm betting it won't be as popular, because a new business website isn't a social tool. Something may be popular, but doesn't mean it will be successful in the right way. I bet Digg or Facebook never thought they would get so much spam eh. Reminds me of those sad FFA websites, great for the owner of the FFA system, but totally sucks for the user who gets little to nothing from it
A big list of Digg clones http://3spots.blogspot.com/2006/04/all-digg-style-applications-list.html at the same site a lot of lists of social bookmarking sites
