Something should be wrong with my sitemap.xml

    Hello,

I have a Sitemap Maker from CoffeeCup. I made a sitemap with this program but I think my sitemap.xml is confusing to Google. When I search in Google something from my web page, Google can find only my index.html. I have many sites on my web page and they are listed in to the sitemap.xml, but it does not work.

Could anyone tell me, what should I do or which software would be better than CofeeCup Sitemap Maker?

    Thank you,
    ameran

    I found Gsitecrawler very good.
    gsitecrawler.com
It's much more than a sitemap generator.

I have used gsitecrawler before, but found it very slow. Maybe it was just my sites....

    Hi,

I have two questions about gsitecrawler:

1- Is this Software for free or not? I wanted to buy it but I did not find any link for that.
2- I saw something in the features that gsitecrawler does something automatically. That means I do not have any more to crawl my pages with gsitecrawler again if I put new pages online on my server?

    I appreciate you helping me.

    Sincerely,
    ameran

    Ameran,

Are you using any type CMS for your site?

What is the url of your site - where is your sitemap located? Once we can see the site, then we'll know what is best for your type of system. For example, is it a custom site, CMS (wordpress, etc). ASP, PHP, etc?

    Regards.

Do you have incoming links? If you have 0 backlinks, it may take a looong time for Google showing your pages in SERPS, even with a XML sitemap.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your submitted sitemaps. Listing in Google indexing does take long, most of the time.

For example, if you submit 400 .html pages, you probably can only see 200 .html pages being indexed in the search engine results. This is a tyical problem with Google and other search engines, but can't blame them for trying to index each one of the billions of pages that come online.
