1) Scrolling ads is not allowed, as far as I'm aware. 2) I think having a site dedicated to d/ling Firefox is okay. I've seen other sites do it as well and they have not been banned.
The site itself is ok, but he faces a ban from Adsense. This scrolling ad in the left won't be welcomed by Google
I read somewhere that the ads' postition has to be fixed. The ads on the left, like stated above aren't welcomed. I've seen someone use one of the "Welcome Message Windows" and placed Ads there with a simple message saying "Clicking ads will remove this window" so people clicked them and clicked them and clicked them.
Completely acceptable IF they are premium publishers (check out titantv.com) Completely UNacceptable if they are not. Since there are no alexa data whatsoever, I doubt they are premium.
Any idea how they did that??Did they modify their adcodes or is it with the HTML? Any way modifying adcodes are against TOS, though you can blend them.
to know how they did it you just have to look at their html source, it's just a javascript which makes a DIV moves, and this DVD is around the adsense script. So it's not modifying the adsense code, no, but it is modifying the behavior of the adsense ads, and I already saw a thread where someone directly asked adsense team and got a NO. For the firefox there's no problem, you can promote your referal as much as you want and it is even recommended to increase your conversion rates, unlike the adsense blocks.
I don't see any scrolling........it just moves the same ads as you scroll up and down the page. They are allowed to encourage downloading because it is a referral.
This is meant with "scrolling", it follows your when you "scroll" up & down. Very cheap script btw, I won't waste any time into it.
