    on my adwords account i have 177 impressions, but no clicks...
    i have my CPC set at 55 cents and the topic is Acne/Skin Care

    I have an attractive ad and i just thought that 177 impressions and no clicks is kinda weird..

    I am a noob at adwords so it may be normal??
    let me know...

    I wouldn't worry too much, 177 impressions is nothing. Even Google only expects 1 click per 200 impressions.

    If you had 2000 impressions with no clicks you could start wondering if your advert needs to be improved.

    What is your average position? A low ad position results in a very low CTR.

    I get around one click per 200 impressions, as Google says. Don't worry ^^;;

    You need to run it for a few hundred impressions before drawing conclusions. If I'm getting less than 3% on the first page, I do a rethink on what I'm doing. So it could be the ad isn't specific enough which you can do something about or the competion are very good, which you can't.

    What is your average position? Are the impressions all search or search and content? Are you testing multiple versions of the ad? What type of matching? The more deatils you can provide (without giving the actual keywords) the better advice we can provide.

    I don't know what kinds of keywords you are targeting, but if you want a high CTR, you should target very specific keywords and write ads for those.

    For example: instead of having one ad for the keyword "acne" have ads for "acne treatment", "acne products" etc. These keywords should be repeated in the ad (preferably in the title). You may have to set your CPC a bit higher in the beginning to have your ad at a good position, when your CTR is good you can lower it.

    I get a click per 20 impressions on most of my ads.
