Something most American citizens don't understand about Russia

Greetings

I find it troubling when Americans laugh at Russia. There have been many
people that say Russia is not a big threath to America and that you would
win a war against them anytime. Americans seem to live in a false reality
about Russia. If America would have war against Russia, most of Americans
think that their missile defense would prevent nuclear missile from hitting
America.

The fact is that Russia has the potential to destroy and kill EVERY American
in the world, if they choose to. They have so many missile and subs that
you would never survive a war against Russia, you can't win a war if you
don't have soldiers. Ofcourse you could do the same to Russia, but you
can't win. China is not as big of a threath than Russia, the are more of
monetary threath. The thing is that Russians have their new Topol missiles
that avoid all kinds of missiles defenses, here is video about Topol and
a launch! Enjoy, and realize you are nothing more than ash if it comes to
war.

I think Russia's strength means greater world security. They act as a counter to America's military power. Its in the best interest of world population.

If Russia had any sense they'd have far more success using their economic energy threat.

They could pretty much close most of Europe down and ruin the world economy by refusing to supply gas or oil.

 

Russians don't want to harm Europe, unless they are forced to.

 

Turhapuro, russia aint no angels either, when they colonized third world countries they were more brutal than the american government ever was. Dont believe me, ask people who lived under their rule. Ask the orthdox christians, muslims and others also.

 

I'm not naive, i know a lot about Russians, since its the neighbour country
and my father fight against them in the winter war, between Finland and
Russia. I fucking hate Russians, but i hate American administration even
more.

Hmm, not sure you are American, but if you are the reason you never have
seen a man from a great nation of Finland is because:

only 7% of Americans have a passport or ever have visited other country.
98% of Finlands population has a passport.
+ 95% of Finlands population has visit more than 2 countries.

The avarage American speaks 1 language
The avarage Finn speaks 2 or 3 languages, (German, French, Russia,
Swedish and english are the most common ones) see my point?

Don't even ask about education, in comparison we are not even in
the same scale.

ALMOST FORGOT, WE HAVE THE LEAST CORRUPTION IN THE WORLD. (International Study)

I was recently reading about the Russo Finnish War of 1940-44
They were the only ones that stopped the Red Army in WWII after fighting them alone in 1939-40. The Russians assualted the mannerheim line but the Finns had 2 reserve defensive lines when the the first one fell. They are experts in ski-warfare. All, and I mean all Finns are top marksmen. The Time/Life book i read about 'The Winter War' estimated up to one million Russions were casualties in that war compared to perhaps 70,000 Finns. The Finns lost a little bit of border territory, but were never occupied by the Red Army.In the most extreme battle, the Finns anniliahed to the last man the 25th Mechanized Division which thought it could outflank the Finnish mannerheim line. Getting stuck in a maze of forests and semi-frozen lakes the Finns slaughtered the whole division. The Division Commander made it back to Russia where he was promptly executed by Stalin.

 

It's nice to see educated people here. Some of my relatives and family
members were fighting in the Winter War, it is something every Finn is
proud of.

The only reason to have a passport is to try to get out of the country your in. That means 98% of people in Finland are trying to get out...

 

I've heard the passport stat before, along with the travel schtick.

America is large. Larger than most European countries. You have to have a passport. If you drive for an hour, your in another country. In American, if you drive for an hour, your still in the same county. Three hours, maybe you cross a state line. It took me two days to traverse Texas, and believe me, I was in a hurry .

There is enough diversity in America to satisfy most of American desires. Why should we travel to Europe when the distaste for Americans is well known? We know we are not wanted (but you love the dollar).

Now before you think I'm some kind of nut (oh yeah, I am, but not the kind you think), I don't think for one second that America is the Land of Shining Example. It is just as bad as anywhere else. Worse in some areas, better in others. I salute everyone in their pride in their country. Great. Russia has nukes. Fine.

But Scotland has Scotch Whiskey...........

 

I don't think that Amercians laugh at Russia. I think they feel sorry for them. I have quite a few Check and Latvian friends... Those are the people that do not like Russians. Man, some of the things I have heard. The anomosity. The disgust. Americans are about the best friends Russia (what little of it still exists) have. Anyone that was once "occupied" by the then, USSR, HATES, Russians.

 

Why is any of this relevant today when there are nukes? The first to launch it wins. End of story.

 

Not really. If they launch, we launch. By the time the nukes hit us, ours will be launched already and will soon hit them. It's a no-win situation

 

For people like me and you. It's a win-win for others..
