something i've always wondered about

...and now i need to know for a project i'm working on. Where do site designers get these random staff images from? i can't link to one but if you dont know what i mean put something like "businessmen gif" into google images and a good few of them appear.

i'm sure there has to be a site out there somewhere that has a bunch of them for download or for sale, but i cant find it. can anyone help me out?

I too had the same doubt for a long time. But I thought they used to take their own photos or steal them from articles or similar things . I never knew they are available for sale. Thanks a lot, it will really come handy later

 

clipart.com has tons and is pretty reasonably priced.
