Something is up with PR - Rollback?

I checked 2 sites this morning - a pr 5 and a pr 2 -- both were at 0 this morning. I checked the future pr tool and a few datacenters only are showing the difference -

Then I checked Yahoo and its pr is dropping on some datacenters also --

    ??????? Any clues?

I have double checked my sites. Most of the datacenters are updated other than 4 of them. But I don't see anything different than yesterday particularly.

On the seochat tool the toolbar should be PR6 but it's showing PR5. Some data centers have gone back to PR6 where they were all PR5 as of last night.

Something weird happened to me which gave me a heart attack! I did an site:mydomain.com and it said it didn't exist - refreshed the browser and the site was listed.

Are they having an extra party at Google and they have someone drunken in control? lol

I have seen some good results this morning. PR 0 up to 4 on several of my new sites. I had a few site that were pr 4 that dropped a couple days ago, but they are back up to pr 4.

As posted in the Looks like PR is updating thread by mcsomethingoranother,

No, the update has not reversed. It just has not spread to all of the datacenters yet.

If you would like to view the updated PR values on your Google Toolbar you can do so by pointing the Toolbar to one of the updated datacenters.

    To do that...

    > - Go to Windows Explorer on your Computer.
    > - Go to C:\WINDOWS and look for a file named HOSTS (no extension - Not Host.SAM)
    > - Right mouse click on the file and select Open with - select Notepad
    > - Add this line of code - 216.239.53.99 toolbarqueries.google.com
-- if toolbarqueries.google.com is already present just modify the IP address to
-- 216.239.53.99 (or you can use any of the 19 IP addresses of the datacenters that
    -- have already updated)
    > - Save and close the file.

    > - Now close Internet Explorer and re-open it!

Your Google Toolbar will now query the Google Datacenter 216.239.53.99 which is one of the Datacenters already updated.

Im not talking about datacenters that just havent updated yet.

    - im watching the same datacenters change back and forth. Last night - all datacenters were updated for my sites - now several datacenters are changing back and forth all morning. Its like google cant quite make up its mind.

    Oh,
That is odd.. maybe there was some error in the update process and they had to rollback a few sites and do them again. I dunno :p

I noticed the rollback multiple times myself. (I have a query engine running 24hrs a day, testing my sites PR every 15 minutes during PR updates.) Some sites of mine reported the updates, then they went away, then back again. As of this moment I am seeing both of my primary sites updated on the toolbar, and in the main index, but the Dance tools show 4 DC's still not updated for me.

Now I am off to test my SERPs for the day, and see if anything has changed there, as I had noticed a huge drop prior to this update. =(

It seems lately the dust needs some time to settle down ... or rollback. One thing that surprises me though is in McDar's DC check you can see that both the BL update and the PR update are still spreading - INDEPENDENTLY. I would expect the BL update first, then the PR update, but it seems not to work that way.

Yup, three rollbacks of 1 today. Really strange stuff. Google always does things different right around the new year. Too much Sake in the hot tub me thinks...

Well obviously the party didn't go well since they dropped www.hustlerpanties.com from PR5 to PR4 . Ah well, PR is a silly little game anyhow

Silly, but life altering.... Many people, including me, use it as a measuring stick. We shouldn't, but we do....

A thought... why is MSN beta search still at a PR of 5??? Surely if any site is to rise in the last PR update due to lots of good links this is the one...
