I've been buying stuff with my bank card w/e blah blah, well last night i had 80$ left in there, and after my recent paypal purchase i should only have about 50$ left, although my bank takes like 2 days to update all purchases. well anyway i wake up and log into my bank to see if google put the deposit amounts in right...

well theres an extra 100$ in there now and there are no pending debits and there have been no 100$ deposited. is this a bank error? or has the bank basically stopped all my payments i just made?

It will eventually get back to normal and any payments will get reflected properly. Happened to me a few times during my early experience with online banking. It's good to feel the joy though, even if for a short time only ;)

if they have accidently given you something extra, the right thing to do is report it , all hell will break loose if they find out and you haven't told them

well thats the thing, i dont know if it is or not. the ammount shown is pretty much correct without my recent spendings so i dont know if my payments have went through. even though they showed they had.

im sure they have something about it in there TOS, or what not. I guess ill wait a few days and if nothing has changed ill go ahead and use it, if they decide to take it back thats fine but i might fight my way to getting a refund if i get over charged because there system was giving me faulty information on my account.

Do you have online banking where you can see a statement of the transactions of your bank account. I sometimes have unexpected money coming to my account and apparent when I checked, it was some money from my Insurance No Claim Bonus or some tax returns from the government. It could also be that some transactions were rejected. If you can access the bank statement, it will give you a clearer picture of what is happening.

Okay then just wait a week first. I mean maybe nothing is wrong and you are getting some money or something and telling them now without the full information might just be a waste of time. :)
