Rules Something I noticed

From my understanding this rule states that I can't ask for money. Simple and straight forward right?

But lately in the Partnership section I've been seeing people starting new threads asking for "investments". But isn't that like a loop-hole? Just a question that's been on my mind, after seeing a few threads coming from new members asking for a pretty large sum.

If they are asking for "investments" in nothing, then yeah... just use the Report Post function.

Asking for loan and investment are two different things.

When you're asking for loan, you're asking for money where as Investment can be
provided in different forms such as for example partnership or affiliation.

This is somewhat true, but I can ask for an investment of let's say $500.00, and I'll be able to repay it within one week while giving you a bonus of $100.00. To me that's asking for a "loan" but just reworded as "investment". I can always state that so-n-so is partner of so-n-so.com, that's never an issue.

Example #1 - He's asking for an investment of $1,000 for "site modeling". Which to me seems to be in the grey area because we don't know any information.
Example #2 - He's asking for an investment of $500. Which once again just reading the thread brings me to believe that it's a loan.
Example #3 - He's asking for an investment of $200. He said it's for "services", which once again makes me believe it's a loan.

From showing you these three examples, are they breaking the rules or is this somewhat in the grey area?

    Thanks for clearing this up.

Lending money provides short-term benefit whereas lender’s consideration
is limited to making profit in shortest period of time.

Investing money is long-term commitment whereas it may take long time before
investor will see any benefits, if at all, because of all sorts of risk that accompany
    sometimes chancy transactions.

    Can you see the difference?

Personally, I'm going to go with semantics. Whether an investment or a loan, while different, in this case seems to be somewhat the same. One is allowed and one seems not to be.
