Something i found out doesnt make sense

okay when i search online millions i got like 41 millions results now my site is on the first page about 4 down Now your telling me im getting 0 visitors i don't get it wouldn't that mean crazy traffic.

There are over 41 million sites out there that have the words "millions," and "online," but that doesn't mean that the term is popular.

Many of these sites have nothing to do with money. These sites just have those two words somewhere in their pages.

Example: "There are millions of kids today who go online to download music...."

In fact, those two words don't even have to be together in the same sentence.


"Making money online," however, would be searched on more.

But even then, one still may not get a lot of traffic.

Yes, one would think you would get at least a few hits a day from "online millions," but, again, welcome to the reality of search engines.

A lot about what you hear about search engines and organic traffic is just bullshit.

There is a huge difference between the amount of results found and the amount of people searching for that keyword.

 

Well, Harry, do we know for a fact that there are indeed millions doing a search on that term???

According to the Google keyword tool - and yes, it's sometimes a crude tool, but it's a good place to start research - as an exact match 'online millions' gets 73 searches globally a month. With any sreach the top 3 places get about 40% of the searches. By position 5 and 6 it's down to something like 4%.
At position seven - 1 or 2%. A month.
As copper said, the number of results has got nothing to with whether anyone is looking for it. You can get visitors from search engines- but you have to do the right research on the right metric.

 

so if i wanted to rank that high for "how to make money online" that will take some time i suppose and a lot of work.

 

will a lot of back links with proper anchor text get me ranked high for "how to make money online" and about 23 articles?

Yes, but don't just target that keyword; vary it with others.
