well then let me say that i think any one that thinks war is better than peace is misguided and wrong. so you stand alone again in your support of war against peace so show me why war is better than peace.
Who are you to disrespect their beliefs? Did I say that? Please show me where I said that peace is better than war. This is the view of these respected world leaders. It is them that you are disrespecting, not me. Good heavens, you are trying to disrespect me -- even though I have made no claims whatsoever.
what in the world are you talking about? can't you have a simple clean conversation? it seems that i have made my position pretty clear can you make your position clear also. if you can not present a coherent argument without breaking these simple new rules then you really have nothing to say that i want to hear sorry are you playing games with digital point?
You win a cookie! Except that Jackuul gave you the answer back in post #13 -- so you owe him half your cookie.
it seems that you feel the need to break the rules to support your position. so come on and say which part of the new rules you need to break
That's exactly the wrong lesson. In this thread -- I didn't break any rules. Any perhaps only in this thread.
This is such a silly thread. I don't know what point you are trying to make. Muslims have no problem with other people criticizing their leaders. Just don't insult Islam or its Prophet. It seems that for some people here, they could not resort to discussing anything without attacking and insulting Islam and the religious symbols of muslims. I don't consider that discussion but rather hate speech. It's ok to talk about Ahmedinajad, Ayatollah Khameini, and any other leaders etc... It is NOT ok to gratiously insult people's beliefs. That's HATE.
and you made no sense this is just a proof of your disability to conduct a conversation, nothing more.
I'm probably going to be banned for this but... Muhammad is just another leader, like Ahmedinajad or Khameini. None are above criticism. As J. Robert Oppenheimer said "We do not believe any group of men adequate enough or wise enough to operate without scrutiny or without criticism. We know that the only way to avoid error is to detect it, that the only way to detect it is to be free to inquire. We know that in secrecy error undetected will flourish and subvert." How would YOU feel if I laid out a list of people that you couldn't criticize? I'd start with George W. Bush!
Mohammed is NOT a leader. HE is a Prophet to the Muslims. He is to Muslims what Moses is to the Jewish People. When you insult him, you insult ALL muslims. Whether you believe that Mohammed is a Prophet or not, it is irrelevant. Muslims consider him a Prophet. So you should respect that or at least avoid to insult HIM in the presence of muslims. You don't see muslims insulting Judaism or its Prophets. You don't see muslims insulting Jesus. Whenever you insult the religious symbols of a people (who are more than 2 billions in number), for me, it's hate.
Well, I will criticize George W. Bush. He is a political leader and the (elected?) president of a country. He is NOT a religious symbol and I don't care about your silly argument.
What if there are genuine concerns about your prophet that need to be expressed? Lol exactly, so if i were to start a new religion & make GWB my religions prophet then nobody can say anything about him or i can & will behead you!
Rob, I'm not even sure what they are anymore. I've read Shawn's post and your post dozens of times. For good or for ill, they don't appear to reflect the reality that I see in the P&R forum. So, I'm doing some testing to see what the actual rules are. Please pardon my fun and I promise not to get mad if I get permabanned for playing.
You're one of the smarter guys here so I'm surprised you're confused. So I'm not sure if you're really confused or if you're just playing the victim/martyr role. Pretend you're having a discussion w/ someone you respect (your wife perhaps). I'm pretty sure you would go about things differently. Yeah, that's why it needs to change....
