Something doesn't seem right about this ....

Read this site and it seems to really skate close to a very grey area - almost one of those "click my ads and I'll click yours, wink, wink, wink"

I find it a bit comical they don't display adsense on their site....

only a little extremely blatant. If there were adsense on that site, it wouldn't be for long.

What would be hilarious is to find out that is a cloak and dagger site by Google looking for just the right group of dumbasses :D

On another forum, it looked like somebody signed up and had a big flood of clicks to one page and they were panicking trying to buy untargetted traffic to fix the click through rate.

The proverb says greed is the root of all evil ... I'd have to say it's also the number one cause of the start of those infamous threads "Google AdSense Banned Me For NO Reason"

That is pretty funny. I am sure Google would not be able to figure that out at all. :)

It is weird when people try to cheat the system. They really don't think things through very far. Even with a basic level of information it is not terribly hard to detect unusual patterns and behavior. A person trying to cheat the system succesfully would have to go to extraordinary measures to make it so they had a small chance of being detected over a long period of time.

It's these corner-cutting idiots with their fly-by-night scams that make it so hard for honest, hard working webmasters to make a buck or two.

Google disabled their ads on that site because part of the domain name has a trademarked word by google (adsense).
I tried that system for about a week, then dropped it as google adsense on sites just showed a message that basically said I was not authorized to view.
Google at some point, if they have not yet, will cut all those members adsense ads off.
Same with traffic exchanges, lots of sites with adsense are not showing the adsense, see above.

Now, I wonder if the original owner of that site finally sold it?
He had it up for auction on ebay, plus emailed everyone he knew and all the members trying to sell it.

I know about google disabling because I have a web site that I originally set up as an adsense traffic exchange.
Google sent me a nice email telling me what the problem was with my site and why all adsense ads were disabled.

I have seen splash pages on traffic exchanges that basically say "click here to my site and then click on a google ad so I can make some money"
Those are the dishonest people who will find out they have a banned account, then they will come to forums and cry, whine and moan about how big bad google closed their account, won't pay them, etc etc etc

Have to say, google does take their advertising program very seriously and they do not hesitate to shut down those who cheat or try to cheat the system.

    Look at it this way:
Say you are an adsense advertiser paying say $5.00 for a keyword.
And you find out you are paying thousands every day and not making any sales.
You would ask google real quick, what is going on? Where are my ads showing? Etc etc etc
Or you could be surfing and find a site telling you to click on adsense and poof! There is your ad on a site where the owner is telling people to commit fraud.
