Thanks for all the feedback. After a day of internal rage I've decided that it's best to just leave it. As Shoemoney said, it will probably just be a waste of time, and the blog isn't a money spinner anyway - just a bit of fun. A colleague also believes that it may be someone who accidently overwrote an old version of my blog (it was once hosted on blogspot but I don't remember the domain), though if that's the case then Blogspot should not be letting people use others' content. Regards, fcmisc.
I know people who do exactly this. They also get their accounts banned quite regularly. (Yes, there are ways around that "One account per lifetime" limit).
I had some guy copy my entire www.komar.org website (including images) and change ONLY the Adsense publisher ID - needless to say, I added him to my scumbag hall of fame - it got resolved when I complained to his ISP.
he just don't know nothing about using blogger templates , so he can't remove your ad , or the blog is not stolen at all .
Maybe leaving your google ads on was his way of saying 'thankyou' for stealing your content Cheers BP
ever seen the ask jeeves search results that frame your website? the adsense still works, but it's content is completely random... kinda funny. someday i'll get around to putting in code to stop external framing like that.
Yeah, I could see some scumbag doing that. I mean, it's absolutely dishonest and should be severely punished, but I can see it happening. It's the thing about copying an entire site and leaving the adsense intact that strikes me as really odd.
but may be you are not tracking as to that page ... no way to steal a blog from blogspot ... not even with hacking ... the only way is to hack your own pc and key-log you while you are logging in ...
Well thats true but sometimes the owner is a god user and he can use proxy or clean te tracking cookies , btw google tracking cookie is kinda served on a server like smartads server , so you can't find out wich cookies belong to google , an cookies editor will do the job and adware is kinda doing it well .. and what about user with dial up connection , do they have differnt Ip after dialing up ?...sure they do ...
Would appreciate any help with this, I went to my blogger.com blog and saw someone hacked into every posting since April and added links I never intended. How to eliminate these? Notified Blogger help, but it takes them a week to get back. Any quick fix ideas? Thanks a bunch, P
Sorry to hear that... the same thing happened to me with all my Lisa Marie Presley articles... and I lost my google ranking to boot and never regained it to the initial ranking... I contacted boggers with the scrappers information and added link to my articles for them to see .... I send and email every day for three days... and finally they banner the scrapper... Good Luck and Happy New Year to all....
If it's really your site, code and content and you own it, file a DMCA complaint which has to be resolved in 48 hours or you can take legal action.
