    Hey,

I don't know where to post this, but I am receiving a bucket load of hts from a site that I can't access or find in Google, I am mainly using adengage to advertise on / purchase ad's - hence why I posted it here, the site in question is sending us 1000s of hits per day :

http://ads.advertisingforyou (dot) info 2572 hits today

Have a look at the site and run a Google search, we can't find out much about the site - maybe it's someone being dodgy who we've purchased ad's from through adenage sending dodgy hits ?

What do you guys think and what do we do ?

Nothing and keep our mouths shut .... ?

I wonder if they are fluffing their AdEngage ads to make them look good. One great way is to not renew and see if the hits stop.

Otherwise, I wonder if you'll be getting an email soon along the lines of "Did you like that traffic we just sent? Here's how to get more" as I've had that happen.

Yeah it's strange, in the google search for the domain it comes up with a 404 error page - deliberate 404 written in HTML on both the sub domain and index page, but there's several ad's in Google results and that's all just ad's on a couple of pages, but none are adengage they're actual adbrite and etology I think.... very weird....

    Hi there!
    I've been checking...
Well, even google almost have no info about that site.
    There are only 2 links.
    You can see them here:

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site%3Aadvertisingforyou.info&meta=

So... this site is an advertisement resource. You are receiving some traffic from it, and I really don't know why either...

Did you used any software to promote your site?
Some softwares add our site to some search engines, directories, and some other traffic resources.

And by the way, you cant access the site typing *that domain*.info because you need the full url, for example "adframe.php?n=a9c00b37&what=zone:9"

    Hope you solve your situation

If you have advertised then you should expect to get traffic. Also are the hits just hits or are you talking about unique visitors here. Also, don't forget about returning traffic, etc.

If you know where the hits came from, you can report to AdEngage. I had my money refunded when a publisher was practicing click fraud.

Yeah these are uniques visitors, we managed to track these hits for a week or so now and the traffic is still very steady,

    here's what we found :

The site we purchased ad's from on adengage are using an iFrame that is hosted on the site "ads.advertisingforyou" and we tracked it down to this site http://www.poringa dot net/

We checked the source code and found the iframe, same iframe that's listed in Google search.

The traffic seems to be converting, so we wont report it.

Still interesting though, we are getting uniques from "poringa" and "ads.advertisingforyou" and I am not sure if iFrames are legal with adengage or not.

    Thanks guys
    Jason
