Someone wants my domain Michiganliving.com

I received an email from someone that wants to buy one of my domains, michiganliving.com. I've had this domain for 10 years, and after moving to Hawaii I stopped working on it and it kind of died. Then at the end of last year I decided to just place news feeds (rss) on it giving it a dynamic content with no work on my part. I'm up to 133 hits a month and growing.

When he first asked if I'd sell it I did not want to, then I figured I'm not doing anything with it, why keep it? I was considering selling it for $200 to $500 to this person when a friend told me it's worth way more. We did research and found out that the guy is into real-estate and probably want's michiganliving.com to sell real-estate, even though he told me he wants it to help Michigan businesses out.

    Is it worth more?
    What should I ask?

no one can give me even a close estimate? I mean is it worth more than $100? $500?
$850 is what I asked and I was turned down, who was the fool, me or him?

    oops .. sorry..

When I looked at the archive, I got the details from 1999.. So the age is 7 years probably..

Looking at the search details, I found so many phrases related to Michigan.. so michiganliving.com is having lot of potential if developed as an information portal related to Michigan

The site will get you more value if you put in some time and develop it a bit.

That's what the original offer was, actually he said he'd pay over $100. I ended up asking $850 and he turned it down.

For me $100 just isn't enough to loose it. This was my first domain, I'm sure it was at least 8 years ago, I thought it was 9 or 10.

If it's not worth more that $750 I'm not even going to consider trying to sell it.

For now I just have it loaded with news feeds (rss) but when I get more time I want to do something with it. The problem is I have a friend that owns http://absolutemichigan.com/ and I don't want to conflict with him, even though I had my domain first. His site is huge, he gets over 1000 unique visitors a day.

My view on this is, that he is gonna make a lot of money off that site, and trying to trick you into selling to him cheap is pathetic. If he wants it bad enough he'll pay anything to get it.

no way you are going to sell it for 100 buck. Even a crap name that aged 10 worth more than that.
