Someone Using your Adsense number

I think someone is using my google publisher number in good ads on their site.

I run about 10 web sites and have a google channel for each site now I'm getting impressions and clicks for in my adsense account that are now equaling up to my adsense channel. What should I do? My concern is that I'll get in trouble for something I have no control over.

    You can block this.

Adsense is down right now so I can't tell you exactly where to go, but on one of the tabs you can select for adsense to only count clicks/impressions from certain sites. Just enter your sites and hit submit.

It's a good way to protect yourself. Adsense will also notify you in your account about what other unauthorized sites it's displaying on* after a week (this way if you forgot a legit site, you can add it to your authorized list).

*It will still display the ads, it just won't count clicks/impressions toward your account

Why? Sometime they made copy and paste of all your content and in it is the adsense code...

Thanks I'll have to look into that later today when adsense comes back online. I started noticing the difference in number yesterday.

    Here's the steps:

    Click on "Adsense Setup"

Click on "Allowed Sites" (2nd tab, far right)

Add in your websites w/out subdomains (example.com instead of www.example.com)

Click "Save Changes" (at the bottom)

Check back on that page periodically to view what unathorized sites are you using your Adsense pub ID. ie., images.google.com was an "unathorized site" so I added them.

I'm not sure why people do this sometimes, but they do. Maybe they could be using your ID and cheating the Adsense system to get you banned. I know it's twisted, but that's just the way some freaks are. I've seen it done before.

Like Politician said, you can block it. I'm not quite sure where either but you can enter the sites that are acceptable to us your ID on. That'll help. Good luck!

I've changed it but I think the issue now is with one of my sites. I think its not counting all the impressions for that site.

Just go with the "allowed sites" in your adsense account and you will be fine, and BTW maybe those clicks coming from DP in you have set your Account ID into your profile, take a look there as well.

I know longer think someone is using my adsense number, I believe the reason is that google is not counting all of my impressions and clicks for one of my sites. (Since the totol is what I used to have) I checked my web pages and everything is perfect the only thing that changed the last week is that I moved to a new server and copied all the files over but now of the actual files have changed. Anyone have any suggestions this is really getting frustrating.
