when your typiing in your password- type in a few extra letters and then delete them (helps to disable keyloggers) like for example

    If your password is password
type a p and then a u then dlete the u and type the a and so on a so fourth so like this - the characters in () are to be deleted right after you type them

    (y)p(g)(h)a(g)(d)(s)ss(r)w(d)or(f)(v)d(g)

That way a keylogger will read your password as
    ypghagdsssrwdorfvdg

    Just a suggestion!

    Thanks
    Mike

I really have no clue how a keylogger works, but erm, wouldn't it read that as...

    y[backspace]pg[backspace]h[backspace]ag[backspace]d[backspace]s ... etc

Ooops! I didn't check the underground forum. I posted it on general forum as soon as logged into my account.

So, someone is deliberately trying to steal the account. For what? To get the 4 signature links? And he thinks he can get away with it without any reaction from DigitalPoint?

First of all, it's not some kid trying DP passwords at random. This is obviously a password guessing script being run against a list.
Second of all, with even one established phished account, a scammer could come in here and work all kinds of fraud without fear of being caught. You might just come here to keep up on SEO and CSS, but your account could easily be turned toward ruining your reputation and defrauding other members.
I do not think it is possible they would be using a keylogger, since they aren't hacking machines, but trying to get in the front door with password guessing.
So, yes, this might be a primitive attempt, based on the lockouts...but we haven't heard yet from members who have been hijacked...the phisher might be holding on to the winning numbers until we've forgotten about this.
I wouldn't assume that this hacking isn't working. Someone has found it worth their time to run this script, and I bet they have a very good idea of what to do with fake accounts.

I agree something has to be done fast,

I mean Imagine if like a senior members account was hacked like me for example,

I have over 400 I traders , they could do some damage fast

Then again, I am online and logged in 23.9 hours of the day ,

But this seems to be a growing concern that needs to be addressed, just like that mail robot we had a while back,

I also agree its definitely a bot thats doing this working off a password list

I would also recommend everyone change there pass ro something really strong

I stayed online in another window most of the day and they skipped me, too...so I think that they can't get in to an account while someone's logged in. Again, I don't see how they could have keyloggers on all of our computers, I don't think they have access to anything unless their keyword guesser gets the right password.
The problem comes if they get the right password, and then sit on it for a few days...really, the safest ones are the ones who got lockout messages. The rest of us just have to wait.

I would have though the Admin would be able to trace who it is as I thought it was common practice for sites to log all members IP's?
