Buying Someone to tweak a Wordpress WP plugin.

    Hello all,

I am building a directory site with Wordpress. Every post has an address (geo-tag) attached to it through a plugin. There is an addon to the plugin that allows visitors to search for posts within X miles of a zip code, state, city etc. The addon allows you to filter the results based on category.

In other words, it allows you to look for posts within X miles of a location AND within Category X. In my case, the categories are the locations, so it's pointless. I want to make it so that it can look for posts within X miles of a location AND within a Taxonomy Term. In other words, instead of Categories, I want Taxonomy Terms.

I have talked with the plugin creator and he gave me some information on how to do it and told me that it's simple for someone who knows what they are doing.

He said that I would need to do the following:

Tweak the template to create a dropdown menu with terms from your desired taxonomy and Filters to add the selected taxonomy term to the search query of the plugin.

Let me know if you can do this, and if so, how much it would cost. I would try to do it myself, but I want to save some time and let a pro do it.

    Thanks

Would it be okay if its theme specific only?
