Buying Someone To Help Add A Comments System To My Website

    Hi there,

I've recently set up a website, all pages are in html, but I want to be able to add comments to the bottom of many of the pages, so people can add their own comments to each page of the site.

I want this to be SEO friendly, so the comments help the site (apparently for the comments to be SEO-friendly they must be visible when you view the source code).

I posted a thread here asking about it in the PHP section of the forum (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1547263) but I'm not sure if PHP would be best or not - I don't really know anything about this so would want someone to help set it all up.

Please contact me if willing to help, and give me a price too.

    Thanks

Coding this from scratch would not be a great idea, since it will require the coder to make a backend for the comment moderation.
I would strongly suggest you to switch to Wordpress to make the task much easier, simpler and smoother.

If you wish to stick to html itself, you may try out this script.

    Hi Buddy,

If the amount of pages is big then I suggest you to shift to WordPress for easy maintenance and features like commenting, etc.

You can give it a try.

    enjoy :)

If I shift to Wordpress won't my website then turn into a blog?
Or is there a way of having static, normal HTML pages but which allow comments (like Wordpress comments)?

    Thanks for any help

That script looked good, thanks for posting it, I don't suppose you know of a way of leaving all the comments on one page, instead of breaking them all up onto multiple pages?

    Thanks

    Hi Buddy,

If you don't want the comments to be braked into pages then do the following.

Navigate to http://YourDomain/wp-admin/options-discussion.php and un-check "Break comments into pages .." and select first page by default.

    enjoy :)

Could someone briefly explain how its done with Wordpress? Would I have to create every single page on my site, on Wordpress again? Thats the only problem I think - the website has already been made, so willl it have to be made again, on Wordpress?

    Thanks for the help

No, You just need to code the wordpress the wordpress template then create a page and make that static for the index. then after you keep creative pages and add them to the sidebar or/and the header navbar.
using wordpress is a way lot easier than HTML since for a minor change you just change one file in wordpress but if you use nornaml xHTML you have to change all the files on the website.
Let me know if you need any sort of help with this.

    hello,
you 1st decide do you want the site in wordpress or you want same old site have comment system.... it's your choice....

if you want wordpress and you have good html and css in web 2.0 standard then you can switch to wordpress

->no problem with anything all you want you wil get all the things you want and you will love it too

if just want to add new comment system in you old site...
->not a big deal, all you have to do is use good tags for SEO-friendly .... but will b time consuming
