Hello. I started a new site called www.crack-entrance.com . I had posted original content on this site. But another site (a big site) has copied all of my contents. When i contacted them to remove the content, they threatened me do whatever u like and if u call again, i will give your phone no. to police. Please tell me what should I do ? How do I get the copyrights of my work .

    See example :

Call the police? lol Let him. I'd love to hear what they would tell him.

Like a debt collector calling, you are within your rights.

Besides, that is it??? ... Just that picture???

Contact their host and the company in which they supply this board. Send this guy the c.c.'s.

In this instance, that is all you can do.

Well, I guess you could send e-mails and call him ten times a day (which is legal)....

They, may, send him a form e-mail.

Besides, is it really that big of a deal?

I can understand if you have, say, a magazine type site and they copy most of it, but this????

    Anyway, good luck with it.

What about calling the advertisers on their site and telling them that this site in question runs a illegal operation?

I see ads from something called adroll.com there. Contact them.

My site has been copied too. It is commercial site with 7-8 pages and they copy all. I don't want to spend time for this, so I just let them do whatever they feel is good for them (or maybe I'm just too practical). Search engines know which site posts the content first and which copies. The problem is clients may possibly see that.

best thing to do is to cut off the money, contact all affiliate sites and cpc networks they are running, watermark your images ,etc

On the contrary, you can threaten them.
You can register a complaint with the DMCA.

Doesn't seem that either of you have much of a leg to stand on... at least not one that's worth your effort to get the situation fixed. Unless the problem becomes a repeated problem, I'd let it go. You could contact their advertisers as someone mentioned, but even that would probably have little effect. The police will not care if they call and I would not worry about that at all. You are within your rights to complain and if it really concerns you I'd keep calling, but try to reach someone different. If you keep calling you may eventually get someone who is willing to address the problem.

That would be very rare. And if it does happen, it would also be very rare that they would think anything of it.

Professional copywriters don't worry about it, neither should you.

Perhaps you may be unduly distressed by the whole situation. Just do your thing. Deliver quality and trust me the people who loved your site in the first reason will always keep coming back.
People who are members of your website wont see any reason to switch if there is constant quality from you.

The other guy might be able to take away some business and there is very little you can do about it. You will end up spending time, resources and perhaps money chasing the phony guy and your business will suffer.

Keep going, imitation actually might mean there is infact terrific quality to what you are doing. "Imitation is the best form of flattery", after all.
