Someone stole my Publisher ID!

I setup allowed site's in my Adsense account around 5 days ago. Yesterday I noticed that 2 sites (Not mine) displayed ads on there sites using my publisher ID! What the heck should I do, and what type of malicious activity could these people have done using my publisher ID? Any tips would be appreciated! I think I will send G an email to be safe.

Dun worry!!! Nothing will happen because those sites click won't be counted as you have set up allowed site in your adsense account. you know- Adsense is really Publisher friendly

If you put AdSense for Search on your sites and did not set up a page on your site to display the search results, Google will, by default, display the search results on its own server. Google's IP address will appear on your account as a site not allowed by you to display ads using your publisher ID.

Try doing a whois on the IP addresses to see what sites are displaying ads using your publisher ID. You'll be able to tell if it's a Google server or not from the results of the whois.

    Google's reply to me:

    Thanks for your email.

Occasionally, traffic programs or proxy sites frame your pages resulting
in your ads appearing on URLs similar to the ones described in your email.

Rest assured your account remains in good standing.

    Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Sean
