Someone sent me 2,75 in euros and i wanted it in $$US$$. It is giving me a choice to choose if i want to accept it or not. My question is if i accept it will it turn into US $$ or will it stay as euros in my account? Thanks whoever can help.
if he should pay 2,75 usd but he paid 2,75 in euros he paid to much. in that case i would not accept the payment. and ask the person to send the payment in usd. honnest and clean.
Depends what your default currency is. If you accept the payment it will give you the option of Accepting it as Euro's or Accepting it and transferring it into your default currency. You can change your default currency and even convert funds between any currency and at any time. When you login, where to box is that says your current balance etc. above that should be a link saying manage currencies. Simple. Take note of this as well.
No, if he sent it in Euros you can only accept it in Euros. Consequently you'll be running 2 balances in your PayPal account - a EUR balance and a USD balance. You can then convert the Euros to USD if you wish - you can check the exchange rate before you do this.
Just for clarification, the above is completly correct. I recieved payment of $400 dollars, my default currency is GBP, paypal asked me if i want to convert or keep as USD.
You should feel lucky because the person is using Euro to pay you. If only people are using Euro for payment here in DP Anyway, you have a choice to keep the money in Euro or either convert it to USD. If you decided to go for the exchange, the rate should be something be like 1.42USD to 1Euro. If you don't want to, then the money can still remain in your account as Euro and then reflect in USD balance. Choice is yours to make
I prefer to keep things in dollar tho since I'm from Europe hehe. It's quite a big difference, but after buying a website for example it's better that the dollar rises, for the ads ofc. but to the OP, it's a good dead and you don't have to worry about
